Yesterday I baked some cookies. They were supposed to look like those in the first picture. But in the heat of the (baking) moment I wanted to try something else and I ended up baking cookies in shapes like hedgehogs, squirrels, foxes, bears, snails and even moose. I added some chocolate et voila they were ready to be baked. Below you can find the recipe.

This is what they were supposed to look like.

And this is what I made from it:

Recipe shortbread

– 140 g of butter

– 1 egg-white

– 60 g of white sugar

– 170 g of flower

– Pinch of salt

– 1 stick of vanilla

Scrape the marrow from the stick of vanilla and add to the butter. Stir the butter very tender.

Add the sugar and stir until smooth. Put the egg in and stir (not whisk protein).
Add the sifted flour and a pinch of salt. Mix shortly but strong.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Make the desired shapes with  dough forms.

Bake in a preheated oven at 220 ° C for 8 minutes.
